What Kafra Storage Actually Is
Every Midgard run eventually fills your bag. Kafra storage (warehouse / account bank) is the shared stash unlocked after early story progress in Prontera-era hubs. Talk to a Kafra NPC or open the storage shortcut from the HUD once the tutorial mails the unlock. Items you park here stay available when you swap jobs via Job Freedom — which is why veterans keep Mage staves, Gunslinger rifles, and Knight shields in the same account bank.
Bag space and warehouse space are different meters. Overflow mail from codes and MVP contribution still lands in Mail, not Storage — clear Mail after every redeem session. VIP convenience: Kafra VIP Pass. Housing links: Home System.

What Belongs in Storage vs Bag
- Storage: job-specific weapons you are not wearing, spare +refine armor for Job Freedom swaps, card duplicates waiting for album registration, refine ores above a week of use, event tokens you are not spending today.
- Bag: potions for the next Energy block, the weapon on your active job, one spare set of food, Board quest turn-ins you will hand in this plaza visit.
- Never storage-only: bound quest items the tracker still needs — some story flags refuse to advance if the item sits in the bank.
Merchant / Whitesmith players who vend should keep listing stock in bag or stall inventory, not deep warehouse, so listing is one click after PIN. Economy loop: Trading & Economy.
Privilege Pass, Bag Expands, and the Secondary PIN
The monthly Privilege Pass often adds portable storage access and bag size — spend ladder: First Top-Up & Passes. F2P players expand warehouse through story milestones, achievement tiers, and occasional event tickets instead of Star Stones. Do not buy cosmetic bag skins before you own a second weapon line for Job Freedom.
After client 2.0.5, some warehouse moves ask for the secondary password. If a move fails silently, enter the PIN and retry. Phishing “warehouse unlock” websites are malware — storage only opens inside the client.
