What Is World Catch?
World Catch is ROW's open-world pet capture system introduced in version 2.0.4 alongside the global Druid launch. Instead of relying only on gacha pulls, players can encounter rare pets directly in the field during timed events — feed them, build affection, and attempt capture without spending Star Stones. This is how launch-window SSR pets like Miya enter the economy alongside Pet Tag Gacha tickets.

How Field Capture Works
- Event or spawn notification — the server announces when a World Catch pet is active (gate region, Geffen field, etc.).
- Travel to the marked zone — open the world map and look for the red pet icon showing the exact location.
- Feed the pet using Pet Food from inventory until a green heart appears.
- Press Catch and complete the taming minigame — success rates vary; premium capture items are not always required.
- Claim your pet from inventory or the pet menu once capture succeeds.
Capture is not guaranteed even when you follow every step. Community reports also cap successful World Catch SSR attempts at once per account per day during limited events — treat each spawn as your only shot that day.
Pet Rally and Launch Events
The Pet Rally Event during Grand Launch let players catch SR pets directly in the field and work toward exclusive SSR objectives through event missions — no Star Stone cost. Similar limited banners may return during collaborations; check the Event tab weekly on Current Events.
When World Catch events are inactive, fall back to:
- Pet Tag Gacha — tickets from ROW0716, login rewards, and dailies.
- 20-summon pity — community reports guarantee a pet pull after 20 summons on some servers; save tickets instead of one-at-a-time pulls.
- Wild monster taming — standard taming items on eligible field monsters per Pets & Mounts.

Tips for Winning World Catch
- Pre-position before notifications end — guilds assign players to each possible gate when Miya alerts fire.
- Carry Pet Food stacks — running out mid-capture loses the spawn to faster players.
- Use mount speed — MVP mounts shorten travel between announced zones.
- Do not chase rarity over fit — a fed evolved SR pet beats a neglected SSR; match passives to your main class.
