Starglade Expansion — Sky Fortress & Lv.80 Frontier

What Is the Starglade Expansion

Starglade is the next major content expansion for Ragnarok: The New World, teased in the Content Roadmap and confirmed during the chief-examiner livestream. It adds the Sky Fortress zone — a vertical floating continent above open Midgard — and raises the level cap from 75 to 80 with a new Valkyrie raid at the top.

The expansion emphasizes vertical exploration: zones layer above and below the existing world, accessed through Sky Portals that activate after main story chapter 12. SEA rollout is expected in Q1 2027 following the TW/HK/MO introduction.

Sky Fortress — New Zone Layout

The Sky Fortress is a floating zone built on layered plateaus connected by gravity bridges. Three distinct regions exist within the zone:

 • Outer Rampart — Lv.76–78 mob density zone, home to new Sigurd Knights faction.
 • Inner Sanctum — Lv.78–80 elite zone with weather-based hazards (Frostbite during storms, Blazing during sun peaks).
 • Yggdrasil Crown — Lv.80 raid instance, the summit of the Sky Fortress where the Valkyrie awaits.

Travel inside Sky Fortress uses the new Wing Dash system — wings gain a stamina-limited vertical boost. Plan wing upgrades via Free Wing Unlock before the expansion drops.

Valkyrie's Trial — Lv.80 Raid

The Valkyrie's Trial weekly boss becomes the new endgame, replacing Dark Lord as the highest-tier encounter. World Boss Guide covers the contribution system; the Lv.80 raid instance is a structured 8-player encounter with scripted mechanics.

The raid ties directly into the Legend Cup Tournament Roadmap — winning squads at Top 96 receive a guaranteed clear pass. Pair your guild's tournament prep with raid progression.

New Systems — Weather, Yggdrasil Fruits, and Sigurd Reputation

Starglade introduces three new meta-systems:

 • Weather System: Sky Fortress weather shifts every 30 minutes, cycling between Clear, Frostbite, and Blazing. Each weather grants elemental damage bonuses and applies debuffs — Frostbite cuts attack speed, Blazing applies burn damage over time. Plan travel and farming windows with the in-game weather tracker.
 • Yggdrasil Fruits: New consumable drops that grant one of three effects: permanent +1 STR, +1 AGI, or +1 INT per fruit consumed. Caps of 5 per stat per character — plan carefully.
 • Sigurd Reputation: Daily quests and faction donations build reputation with the Sigurd Knight order. Tiers unlock Sky Fortress cosmetics, exclusive teleport waypoints, and a unique mount. Read Guild Guide for similar reputation paths.

These systems are account-wide once unlocked — alts can travel to Sky Fortress the moment the main unlocks them.

What Players Should Prepare Now

Before Starglade drops:

 1. Push your main weapon to +12 or higher. Lv.80 content requires refined gear — Safe Refinement +15 helps.
 2. Complete the Lv.75 Shadow Gear set. The set transfers into Starglade with no upgrade tax. Lv.75 Shadow Gear Guide.
 3. Reach Achievement Tier Gold — Mythic tier bonuses scale into Starglade content. Achievement Guide.
 4. Fill at least 25 Card Album slots. Card Album.
 5. Stock Star Stones for the Yggdrasil Fruit reroll. Star Stones Guide.

Players starting in Q4 2026 have a 3–4 month window to prep before SEA Starglade releases. Don't rush the content — completion beats timing.

Starglade Timeline and SEA Rollout

Gravity Game Vision's public roadmap targets the following milestones:

 • TW/HK/MO launch: November 2026 (tentative).
 • SEA launch: Q1 2027, contingent on the SEA launch stability post-MVP rotation. Current Events tracks any updates.
 • Global release: Aligned with the Q4 2026 global release window per investor reports.

Track the Content Roadmap for shifting dates and read the official Gravity blog for confirmation. Follow the official Discord and Facebook for first-look trailers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be Lv.75 to enter Sky Fortress?
Yes. The expansion raises the cap but does not retroactively unlock the zone. Finish the Lv.75 Shadow Gear path first — Lv.75 Shadow Gear Guide.
Are Yggdrasil Fruits tradeable?
No. Each fruit binds on consume to the character that ate it. Plan carefully which stat to invest in.
Will Sigurd Reputation rewards persist on Starglade alts?
Yes. Reputation is account-wide once unlocked on the main character. Alts travel to Sky Fortress immediately.
Does Starglade replace current endgame?
No. Lv.75 content remains playable. Starglade is additive — Starglade players can still farm Final Mirage, War of Kings, and earlier raids.
