Why This FAQ Exists — August 17, 2026
Steam published Ragnarok: The New World on July 26, 2026. By mid-August the store sat at Mostly Negative — Wicked Quest counted 29% positive from 778 reviews around August 17. Gravity Game Vision posted a FAQ on the store and in announcements covering the complaints that actually matter for SEA and Steam players sharing one client.
This page restates those answers in plain language so you can decide Steam versus the standalone launcher. Platform install links: Platforms & Steam Status. Overlay crashes: PC Troubleshooting.

Servers, Regions, and the Extra Launcher
- No NA/EU date. Steam currently talks to SEA infrastructure. Gravity says it wants more regions later and has not named a country or a month. High ping from Europe or the Americas is expected until then.
- TW/HK/MO stays separate. Those January 15, 2026 characters cannot move onto SEA. Steam players who qualify for Legend Cup sit in the SEA bracket.
- Cross-save works inside SEA when the same Gravity account is linked on mobile, standalone PC, and Steam.
- The extra Gravity launcher stays for now. The studio says the third-party login, cross-play sync, and anti-cheat need it. They are studying how to drop the extra step. There is no patch date.
Languages on the Steam page: English, Indonesian, Thai, Simplified Chinese. There is no Spanish client.
Monetization Changes Players Already Have
Gravity listed several shop and drop changes that were already live when the FAQ posted:
- Removed from Star Stone cash shop: enhanced dishes, Yggdrasil Leaves, and concentration potions. Get them from in-game systems instead of premium currency.
- Weekly free Star Stones: up to about 6,580 from activities the FAQ names as the daily quiz (community name: Hoppy Quiz) and the guild auction. Spend rules: Star Stones Guide.
- More player trade: MVP mounts and cards can go on auction; materials, cards, and gear can trade. Some premium cards now have a free obtain path.
- Royal Gear drops from dungeons, MVPs, open world, and special chests — not cash-shop exclusive.
Exploration-only materials are now enough to push a full set to +10. Combat Power as a score was removed; play the kit, not a CP number. Pets can be caught in the field through World Catch instead of only gacha.
Auto-Battle and PC Interface — What Will Not Change Overnight
Auto-battle stays. Gravity designed ROW as a cross-platform game. The FAQ says auto combat and auto-path exist so short mobile sessions can finish chores before you spend real attention on MVP, Siege, and Arena. PC-only players who hate that loop will not see it removed.
PC UI is acknowledged as a problem. The client still carries touch-first menus. Gravity says it is evaluating layout changes, more hotkeys, and simpler menu paths. Again: no date. Until then, bind skills in PC Controls and cap FPS in Settings & Performance.
