Champion Tank Build — VIT Fist Frontliner

Tank Champion Is a Real Party Slot

Most Monk/Champion guides chase Asura Strike millions. Mid-August creator clears — including Time Echoes Halloween Horror and Time Corridor Mt. Tiger (Hard) — show a second identity: a VIT-stacked Champion who holds aggro, soaks red markers, and still wins the damage meter on combo fists. That is the build this page covers. Burst Asura stays on Monk / Champion Build.

Watch the embedded skill-breakdown video for combo coefficients, then copy the role (face the boss, never skip parade) more than any one player's exact refine.

Example Stat Sheet (Level 72, Budget)

Public August 9, 2026 example (no royal set): STR 38 / INT 1 / AGI 1 / DEX 30 / VIT 90 / LUK 1, about 58,000 HP. That is a teaching snapshot, not a cap. The lesson is the split: VIT is the tank stat, DEX keeps combo hits landing, STR is leftover, AGI/LUK stay near floor until you have spare points.

Use in-game Build Recommendation after you Job Freedom, then override the template toward VIT if your guild already has an Asura player.

Combo Skills You Must Sequence

Creator skill breakdowns (King Spade and others) list the Monk combo window as a three-step chain inside 3-second links:

  1. Raging Tetra Blow — three hits, about 533% each (combined ~1,599%).
  2. Raging Quadruple Blow — six hits, about 220% each (combined ~1,320%).
  3. Raging Thrust — one Spirit Sphere, about 1,500%.

Together that is roughly 4,400% if you never miss the window. Fury (sometimes translated Fury Unleashed) is the 10-minute steroid: listed as +50% damage and 100% size modifier versus large enemies — turn it on before the boss, not after the parade starts.

Guillotine Fist / Asura Strike is the optional dump: five spheres plus remaining SP, formula often written as (550 + remaining SP / 10) × 100%, plus a PvP chunk of current HP. After the cast you enter Spirit Exhaustion (~10 seconds) and lose Fury. Do not Asura into a Paladin/Crusader reflect — you will kill yourself. Tank Champions usually skip Asura in dungeon holds and keep combo uptime.

Where This Build Wins

  • Time Echoes Halloween Horror — hold Pumpkin Parade, keep the boss still.
  • Time Corridor Hard (Mt. Tiger and similar) — random queues survive if someone accepts the tank seat.
  • Monday Siege War — peel and stair hold when the guild already has a Crusader; otherwise bring the Holy tank instead.

Gear: +12 fist or knuckle line, defense cards, no need to wait for royal accessories. Plan stones with Refine Cost Planner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is tank Champion better than Asura Champion?
Different jobs. Tank Champion keeps parties alive and still deals combo damage. Asura Champion deletes opened targets and dies to reflect. Guilds often want one of each via Job Freedom.
Can Champion replace Crusader on Siege night?
As a flex off-tank, yes. As the only named castle tank, Crusader or Knight is safer because of shields and Holy tools.
Do I need 90 VIT exactly?
No. 90 VIT is a published budget example. Stack VIT until you survive the parade explode, then feed leftover points into DEX and STR.
Should I still learn Asura on a tank Champion?
Learn the button so you can flex. Do not press it into reflect, and do not empty SP during a tank hold.
