F2P Roadmap — Day 1 to Endgame in Ragnarok: The New World

F2P Philosophy in ROW

Ragnarok: The New World is playable without spending real money — but F2P efficiency requires planning, not just logging in. Star Stones buy convenience; knowledge buys power. This roadmap maps every phase from first login through month-one MVP hunting so you never waste dungeon entries, refine stones, or Energy on mistakes that whales cannot fix with money either.

Updated July 27, 2026 for SEA week two. Claim your free permanent Kafra VIP Pass, redeem all eleven codes on All Redeem Codes, and follow the daily priority order on Daily Priority Guide.

Day 1 — Foundation (Do Not Skip)

  • Rush main quest until guilds, board quests, and Time Corridor unlock — target Level 32 before ending session.
  • Do NOT use Time Corridor entries — save both daily entries (max storage 4). On Day 2, burn all four in the Level 40 Hard Dungeon for Red Crystals and Royal Equipment chances.
  • Redeem every active code — ROWGO1ST, ROW0716, BABYMONSTER, and the ROW666–ROWLAUNCH bundle.
  • Hunt treasure chests after hitting the daily level cap — refinement materials, Treasure Maps, and Adventure Coins scattered across every zone. Full routes: Exploration & Treasures.
  • Save Star Stones — spend only on permanent account convenience, never cosmetics in week one.

Archive checklist: Launch Day Guide. Energy details: Energy System.

Full day-by-day walkthrough: First Week Guide. Class pick help: Class Tier List — Mage and Gunslinger still fastest for F2P leveling; Acolyte cheapest to gear.

Week Two — Sustainable Loop (July 23+)

Launch inflation cools; repeatable habits matter more than one-time launch bonuses:

  • Weapon safe +10 and armor toward Refinement Resonance Level 2 — Safe Refinement +15.
  • Commit main farmer + backup party job — stop spreading refine across eight classes. Strategy: Job Freedom Strategy.
  • Post-reset MVP hunts as first action — MVP Hunt Priority.
  • Submit Druid guide for Mentor of the Wilds before August 6 — 3,280 Bound Starstones + title: Mentor of the Wilds.
  • Log in before August 16 for BABYMONSTER Cosmic Monster costume — Launch Rewards Hub.

Week two daily loop: Week Two Guide.

Month One and Endgame Targets

  • +10 weapon complete, spread refine to armor slots, reach Resonance Level 2 on all gear.
  • Consistent MVP attendance — mount drops and cards from MVP Hunting.
  • One fully evolved combat pet — Pet Tag Gacha tickets from codes and events; do not split evolution stones. Rare target: SSR Pet Miya.
  • Guild content — top-100 guild seasons and GvG prep per Guild Guide.
  • Pioneer Rewards campaign runs through September 16 — track on Pioneer Rewards.

Avoid the ten mistakes that waste F2P resources: Beginner Mistakes. Budget refine with Refine Cost Planner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can F2P players get SSR pets and MVP mounts?
Yes. Pet Tag Gacha tickets from codes and events enable free pulls. MVP mounts drop from contribution-ranked hunts — consistency beats spending.
Should F2P players main Druid?
Druid is versatile but gear-intensive across three forms. Start Mage or Gunslinger for faster week-one Zeny, then add Druid as a second job via Job Freedom.
Is it too late to start F2P in week two?
No — SEA servers opened July 16 and the population is still climbing. Follow this roadmap from your current day; catch-up is faster with Job Freedom and launch codes still active.
What should F2P never buy with Star Stones?
Avoid cosmetic gacha and duplicate convenience packs until your main weapon hits +10 and dailies are on autopilot. VIP Pass is free from pre-reg mail — do not repurchase.
