Quick Answer — Rules That Save Resources
Most ROW beginners lose days of progress to the same preventable mistakes — not because the game is punishing, but because systems interact in non-obvious ways. Fix these ten habits and your week-two character will outgear players who logged twice as many hours.

- Main quest first until systems unlock — then dailies before random grinding.
- Never use Time Corridor entries on Day 1 — save four for Day 2 Level 40 dungeon.
- Spend Combat Energy only on Recommended monsters with EXP bonus.
- Refresh board quests to orange before accepting.
- Refine weapon before armor; one job before eight.
Mistake #1–3: Progression Order Errors
#1 — Grinding before main quest unlocks systems. Story quests open guilds, board quests, dungeons, and Job Freedom. Skipping them for field EXP feels faster for an hour, then you hit a wall with no daily income. Follow the route in Leveling Guide.
#2 — Using Time Corridor entries immediately on Day 1. You earn two entries daily, max storage four. Day 1 players rarely reach Level 40 — lower floors pay worse than waiting one day. Burn all four entries in the Level 40 Hard Dungeon on Day 2 for Red Crystals and Royal Equipment chances.
#3 — Wasting Combat Energy on weak mobs. Energy on under-level or non-Recommended targets returns fraction of the EXP. Always check the Recommended Monster list for 110% bonus targets before spending — full mechanics on Energy System.
Mistake #4–6: Gear and Class Errors
#4 — Refining armor before weapon. Weapon refine increases kill speed, which accelerates every other income source. Armor comes after main weapon hits +7–+10. Plan with Refine Cost Planner and Safe Refinement +15.
#5 — Building all eight classes equally. Job Freedom tempts you to spread refine and skill books across every job. Week two requires committing one farmer and one party role — see Job Freedom Strategy.
#6 — Switching jobs without gear plan. Free stat resets do not refund refine stones spent on job-specific weapons. Swap jobs in open fields for testing; do not +10 a weapon for a class you will abandon in three days.
Mistake #7–10: Daily and Economy Errors
#7 — Mismanaging Time Corridor entries mid-game. Treat entries like premium currency — push floors when material drops match your refine goals, not when you are bored. Weekly Brave Trial resets deserve priority before maintenance.
#8 — Ignoring treasure chests after level cap. Hundreds of chests across Midgard drop Oridecon, Elunium, and Adventure Coins. Day 1 chest farming funds Day 2 refine — routes in Exploration & Treasures.
#9 — Selling valuable materials early. Low-tier ores and cards spike in price during week two when players catch up. Check auction trends on Trading & Economy before vendor-dumping stacks.
#10 — Chasing SSR pets before +7 gear. A well-fed evolved SR pet outperforms a neglected SSR. Pet Tag tickets from redeem codes are free — invest evolution stones in one pet after your weapon is stable. SSR chase guide: Pet Miya.
